Our Firm provides representation for corporate and business clients by offering a broad range of services including business and commercial litigation, resolution of employment issues, business and real estate transactions, contracts, commercial debt recovery, and entity organization and maintenance. We provide estate planning and estate and trust administration services for our clients, both business owners and individuals. We provide representation for our insurance clients in the property and liability fields. Our services include defense of actions arising from motor vehicle accidents, analysis of insurance policy coverage questions, subrogation litigation, and general liability defense. Attorneys
Samuel Baronian, Jr. was born in 1957 in Richmond, Virginia. He received his B.S. from the University of Richmond in 1979, his J.D. from the University of Richmond in 1982, and his LL.M in Taxation from the College of William & Mary in 1988.
He was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1982, the Maryland State Bar in 1992 and has also been admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the City of Richmond, County of Henrico, and American Bar Associations. Sam has a broad based civil practice including extensive litigation experience for plaintiffs and defendants in commercial, U.C.C., construction, insurance, real estate, personal injury and estate and trust matters.
For over 52 years A. James Kauffman has concentrated his practice in the areas of business, commercial banking, surety, construction and tort litigation, including the representation of corporations and individuals. He represents clients in corporate and business matters, including the formation of corporations, partnerships and other business structures; the negotiation and drafting of contracts, leases, and other documents; and the representation of business entities and individuals in business entities and individuals in real estate transactions.
Mr. Kauffman received his B.A. from Lynchburg College in 1959 and his LL.B from the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond, in 1962 where he was a member of the McNeil Honor Society and Delta Theta Phi Fraternity. After graduation from law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Harold F. Snead, Justice, Supreme Court of Appeals of Virginia from 1962 to 1964.
